Landmark Projects
Landmark’s initial emphasis was principally as a developer of office accommodation but over the last ten years, the company has diversified into all sectors of the market. Landmark develops many of its projects as sole developer but has, in appropriate circumstances, formed partnerships with other developers, funders, occupiers or landowners if a joint venture is believed to be the optimal way to progress a development scheme. The company prides itself on the range and diversity of the projects it undertakes. This is not only visible in the variety of market sectors Landmark is active within but also in the different scale of projects undertaken. “No site too small, no scheme too large” is a glib statement, but it is genuinely true of the Landmark portfolio where developments range from a single acre of industrial accommodation adjacent to a trunk road to a master planned redevelopment of a whole city centre quarter.

In the last three years projects have been identified, acquired and completed in sectors as diverse as manufacturing, hotels, offices, distribution, licensed premises and of listed buildings; indeed Landmark won a “commendation” from the Leeds Awards for Architecture 2000 for its works at the Angel Inn in Leeds City Centre. Despite the “tag” of local developer, Landmark does not confine itself to developing in the West Yorkshire conurbation. Large-scale developments have recently been completed in North, South and East Yorkshire whilst further afield projects have been successfully completed in South Wales as well as The Midlands. There are also several projects under consideration in Scotland.
Landmark also has a presence within the investment market although this is focused upon income producing buildings where genuine redevelopment angles exist in either the short or medium term.
